Engagement Labs Inc. is a Canadian company headquartered in Montreal, Canada and with offices in New Brunswick, New Jersey and the UK. The company uses data obtained through social media feeds and sites (blogs, forums, Twitter, Facebook and YouTube) to offer real-time social media data, analytics and reports for any type of organization that are engaging on social networks. They extract business intelligence from user generated data (BIG DATA) and transform it into actionable information used by corporate clients, brand managers and social media teams.[1]

History

Engagement labs Inc. was founded in 2008 by Paul Allard, under the name Parta Dialogue Inc. First established in Montreal, they successively opened offices in Toronto and Paris, France, and then in Mexico City.[2] In 2012, the company acquired MTHRTY, an organisation using social media to distribute branded content to targeted consumers through social publishing and sharing.[3] The company also acquired MyTwatch in 2013, a French firm that developed semantic analysis of content in social media.[4] On December 30, 2013, Parta Dialogue Inc. merged all operations with its subsidiary Engagement Labs Agency Inc. to form a new corporation named Engagement Labs Inc. and now counted a total of 70 employees in the four different offices.[5] On July 24, 2015, Engagement Labs Inc. acquired the Keller Fay Group, a company specialised in Word-of-Mouth measurement in the US and UK markets.[6]

Through Parta Dialogue, Engagement Labs also acquired Edu-Performance Inc. which has been developing and marketing educational technologies to enable the creation, distribution and management of eLearning training content since 1991.

Engagement Labs is the creator of #esuite, a program of Intelligent Data that caters to agencies, marketing teams and dashboard providers. #esuite, which is available under SAAS or through an API, provides over 250 intelligent analytical metrics to measure performance and ROI for brands to evaluate and coordinate social media activities across all online channels.[7] Engagement labs mission is to support the entire social marketing cycle by offering key business intelligence.

The #evalue platform allows brands to monitor, measure and evaluate their social media channels versus their competitors. Users can track and instantly make sense of hundreds of performance metrics with the #evalue score: a grading system that calculates reach, engagement and conversation levels for social media accounts and benchmarks them against 30 000+ brand profiles on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.[8] Furthermore, Engagement Labs provides the insights and intelligence to complement its data collection and analytics solutions through a tailored system of reporting.

Parta Dialogue Inc. was created in 2008 and entered the TSX Venture Exchange on May 22, 2009, under the original symbol TSX-V: PAD.[9] In 2013, the public change of the name to Engagement Labs Inc. also led the way to a stock symbol change from TSX-V: PAD to TSX-V: EL. The company’s total assets as of May 31, 2013, were of $3,342,734.
