Emma Booth (born c. 1982) is an Australian model[1][2] and actress. From Perth[3] in Western Australia, the former teen model[4] and TV star played a significant role in the 2007 film Introducing the Dwights, opposite Brenda Blethyn.[5]
TV and film career
Frequently referred to as the "next big thing" from Australia,[6][7] after Clubland (North American title of Introducing the Dwights)[3] was screened at the Sundance Film Festival, many talent agencies solicited her for roles in upcoming films.
She appeared in the 2009 horror film Blood Creek, directed by Joel Schumacher. She worked on the never released 2007 production Hippie Hippie Shake,[3] an account of the Schoolkids OZ obscenity trials in the United Kingdom.[8][9] Since 2009, Booth has appeared in low-budget films, Australian series television. She starred in Underbelly: The Golden Mile[10] and had a supporting role in the 2013 Jason Statham film Parker.[5][11][12]
Modelling career
At thirteen she was cast in The Adventures of the Bush Patrol and at fourteen became a finalist in Girlfriend magazine's cover girl competition.[6] Although she didn't win, Booth was a hit with Chic Model Management, who signed her up almost immediately. And by the time she was fifteen Booth was strutting her stuff in Tokyo, Milan, Paris and New York.[6] She later held the title of Western Australia's Model of the Year and Face of Fashion Week (Sydney and Melbourne).
