Ellen Marie Pawlikowski (born 1956) is a United States Air Force general. She serves as Commander, Air Force Materiel Command, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. General Pawlikowski previously served as Military Deputy, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition, the Pentagon, Washington, D.C., responsible for research and development, test, production, and modernization of Air Force programs worth more than $32 billion annually. [1] She assumed her current assignment on June 8, 2015.

Biography

Pawlikowski entered the active duty in 1978 through the ROTC program at New Jersey Institute of Technology. She attended the University of California, Berkeley, and received a Doctorate of Philosophy in chemical engineering in December 1981, entering active duty at McClellan AFB, California, in April 1982. The general has served in a variety of technical management, leadership and staff positions, to include Director of the Airborne Laser Program and Director of the MILSATCOM Joint Program Office. She has served as Vice Commander, Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles Air Force Base, California. Prior to her current assignment, she was the Deputy Director, National Reconnaissance Office, Chantilly, VA. Also, as the Commander, Air Force Space Command Element, she managed all Air Force personnel and resources assigned to the NRO and served as the senior adviser to the NRO Director on all military matters.[1] On February 18, 2015, the President of the United States nominated her for promotion to general and as Commander, Air Force Materiel Command. Pawlikoski's promotion and assignment to AFMC were confirmed by the United States Senate on March 27, 2015.[2] On 8 June 2015, Pawlikowski assumed command of Air Force Materiel Command from General Janet C. Wolfenbarger.[3]
