Eliyahu Baal Shem of Worms

Rabbi Eliyahu Baal Shem of Worms (c. 1536/37 – 1583) was born in Krakow as the son of the scholar Yosef Jospa,[1] a Spanish Jew.[2] He was one of the few rabbis to be given the Baal Shem title.[1][2]
