Edward "Ted" Kerwick (July→September 1922[2] — July 2010 (aged 88)) birth registered in Prescot, was an English professional rugby league footballer of the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s, playing at representative level for England, and Lancashire, and at club level for St Helens Recs, Oldham, Wigan (as a wartime guest), Leigh, Workington and Widnes, as a Centre, or Stand-off/Five-eighth, i.e. number 4 or 5, or 6, he served with the Royal Artillery during World War II, and he died in Windle, St. Helens.[1]

Ted Kerwick won a cap for England while at Leigh in 1949 against Other Nationalities.[3]
County Cup final appearances
Edward Kerwick played Centre, i.e. number 4, in Leigh's 7-20 defeat by Wigan in the 1949 Lancashire Cup final during the 1949–50 season at Wilderspool Stadium, Warrington on Saturday 29 October 1949,[4] played Stand-off/Five-eighth in the 6-14 defeat by Wigan in the 1951 Lancashire Cup final during the 1951–52 season at Station Road, Swinton on Saturday 27 October 1951,[5] and played Centre, i.e. number 4, in the 22-5 victory over St. Helens in the 1952 Lancashire Cup final during the 1952–53 season at Station Road, Swinton on Saturday 29 November 1952.[1]
Genealogical information
Ted Kerwick's was the elder brother of; Eric G. Kerwick, Margaret M. Kerwick, Jean Kerwick, and Jane Mavis Kerwick. Ted Kerwick's marriage to Audrey (née Makin) was registered during April→June 1947 in Prescot district,[6] they had children; Philip E. Kerwick (birth registered during April→June 1948 (age 67–68)
in St. Helens district).
