Duge Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge currently under construction near Liupanshui. The bridge will be the highest in the world with the road deck sitting over 564 metres above the Beipan River. The bridge crosses the river on the border between Yunnan and Guizhou.[1] [2] The bridge is part of the G56 Hangzhou–Ruili Expressway between Qujing and Liupanshui. The eastern tower measures 269 m (883 ft) almaking it one of the tallest in the world.
Construction
Construction of the bridge began in 2011. The bridge was completed on 10 September 2016. [3] It is yet to open form traffic.
