Deadly Women is a television series first aired in 2005 on the Discovery Channel, focusing on female killers. After a two-year hiatus, the show resumed production in 2008 and began airing on the Investigation Discovery channel as a regularly scheduled series. The 2008–present TV series is produced in Australia by Beyond International.
The series also airs dubbed in Spanish on Discovery en Español under the title Las Verdaderas Mujeres Asesinas (True Killer Women) and in Italian on Real Time Italy under the title Donne mortali (literal translation of the English title).
Format
Each episode deals with three stories (four in each of the three mini-series episodes) centered on the theme of each episode, through re-enactments, The stories are narrated by Lynnanne Zager (Marsha Crenshaw in the mini-series). Subject-matter experts (SMEs), such as former FBI criminal profiler Candice DeLong[1] and former Hennepin County (Minnesota) Medical Examiner Janis Amatuzio,[2] add perspective to each story from their areas of expertise.
