David Davidson (born 25 January 1943 in Edinburgh) is a former Scottish Conservative and Unionist Member of the Scottish Parliament (MSP) for North East Scotland Region, from 1999 to 2007. Whilst in parliament he was a member of the Scottish Parliament Business Exchange. He was previously a councillor in Stirling. After leaving parliament he was employed at Caledonia Consulting as a lobbyist along with fellow ex MSP Mike Watson.

In 2005 Davidson was forced to resign as Conservative Health spokesman after newspaper reports revealed he had been involved in a sex and drink scandal involving SNP MSP Christine Grahame. Davidson, who is married with five children, was alleged to have spent three nights a week with the SNP MSP.[1]
