- 2002–2005 - PhD student at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Armenian National Academy of Sciences. PhD (History).

The main areas of scientific research are the Azerbaijani-Karabagh conflict settlement, Caucasian geopolitics, great power competition and Chinese geopolitics.
