Calvo Music School, with the noted teacher and composer Samuel Bedoya, in addition to his career as a professional harpist. Besides his artistic and musical career, he received a degree in business administration at the Universidad Externado of Colombia in Bogota in 1985.
His fast rise in the investigation of methodologies and design of support materials for the study of the harp, as well as his long experience as a harpist, have led him to devote himself to being one of the most noted interpreters of the llanera music tradition, receiving recognitions in Colombia and Venezuela.
