D'Onta Foreman (born April 24, 1996) is an American football running back for the Texas Longhorns.

Early years

Foreman attended Texas City High School in Texas City, Texas.[1] He played running back and defensive end. During his career, he rushed for 4,382 yards with 61 touchdowns, including 2,102 yards and 31 touchdowns as a senior. Foreman committed to the University of Texas at Austin to play college football.[2]

College career

Foreman played in seven games as a true freshman at Texas in 2014, rushing 15 times for 73 yards. As a sophomore in 2015, he played in 10 games missing two due to injury. He rushed for 681 yards on 95 carries with five touchdowns.[3][4] Foreman entered his junior year in 2016 as the Longhorns' starting running back.[5] On October 29, 2016 against Baylor University D'Onta Foreman passed the 1,000 rushing yards for the season marker, becoming the first Texas Longhorn running back since Jamaal Charles, to do so. During this game, Foreman rushed for 250 yards on 32 carries, scoring 2 touchdowns. [6] During the Texas vs. Texas Tech game on November 5, 2016 in Lubbock, Texas, Foreman ran for 341 yards on 33 carries, with 3 touchdowns, leading the Longhorns to victory. This game is currently Foreman's career high. [7]

On November 30, Foreman announced his decision to forgo his last year of eligibility and enter the 2017 NFL Draft.[8]

Personal

His twin brother, Armanti Foreman, also plays college football for the Texas Longhorns, as a wide receiver.[9] While attending the University of Texas, Foreman became a member of the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll in the Fall of 2014. [10]
