"Come Outside" was a number one in the UK Singles Chart in 1962 for Mike Sarne, and the actress Wendy Richard, who provided vocal interjections.[2][4] The track stayed at No. 1 for two weeks in late June and early July that year.[3]
In 1991, Samantha Fox, Frank Bruno, Liz Kershaw and Bruno Brookes recorded a cover version of the song as the official Children in Need single of the year.
