Clay Johnston

Dr. S. Claiborne "Clay" Johnston is the Dean of the Dell Medical School at the University of Texas, Austin. Dell Medical School is set to open in the summer of 2016; Johnston is its inaugural dean, having been named to the post in January 2014 and charged with the task of creating the new facility at UT Austin.[1]
Johnston received a BS in Physics from Amherst College before studying medicine at Harvard University. He has also received a Ph.D. in epidemiology from the University of California, and practices medicine as a neurologist. Prior to his appointment at Dell Medical School, Johnston served as Vice Chancellor of Research at UCSF.[1]
