Chris Browning is an American television and film actor, known for character roles, specializing in more tough and rugged types. However, recent roles have been clean-cut family man roles, such as the scientist Jake on the CW's The 100, or the ill-equipped father in the Mark Cartier film "Lift Me Up".
Career
Browning began his acting career back in 1987. He got a role in a sitcom television series, but due to him having drug problems, he spent several years being homeless, or in jail, and went from living in a Malibu Beach house to living on a mattress next to the freeway. He sought treatment for his addiction in 1994. He was cast in a miniseries, Hardball as Llyod LaCombe. He was later cast in a recurring role in In the House, His first major role in a film came in 1996, in The Children of Captain Grant which was filmed in Russia.[1] He also had a recurring role in the day-time soap, As the World Turns as David Stenbeck. After not appearing in films and movies between 1999-2005 due to his rehabilitation, he made an appearance in the film, A Piece of Pie. In that same year, he was cast in his first big budget film, 3:10 to Yuma starring Russell Crowe and Christian Bale. This was his breakthrough movie, as this was followed by him getting cast in television shows such as Easy Money[2] and Felon which Browning credited as the film which got him more roles.[1]
In mid 2008, he was cast in the terminator reboot, Terminator Salvation as "Morrison".[3] He also had roles in big budgeted movies like Let Me In, Cowboys & Aliens, The Last Stand, and "The Book of Eli".
He recently wrapped production on the upcoming prison movie, "Shot Caller", directed by Ric Roman Waugh, who also directed Chris in his first prison movie, "Fellon" in 2008.
In recent television work, Browning appears alongside Jon Voight, in season three of "Ray Donavan". He also starred in recent episodes of "Major Crimes", "CSI", "Graceland", "Castle", "Bones", "The Bridge", as well as three episodes of "From Dusk Till Dawn", and is well known as his character "Gogo" in the fifth season of Sons of Anarchy.

He became good friends with Jason Momoa working on Road to Paloma, it was written by, directed by, and starred Momoa.
Personal life
Born in Nevada, Browning was later raised in Hawaii, Seattle, and Pennsylvania. Chris is a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles. He currently lives in Topanga, California with his girlfriend and daughters. He is a dedicated father and a passionate screenwriter in his spare time.
