Chirkut (English: Miser) is a Bangladeshi Pop Band. It was founded 2002.[1]The Group Consist Pintu Ghosh and Sumi are lead vocals.Over the last three years, they properly carved out a name for themselves among the hearts of music lovers of Bangladesh with their energetic live performances and powerful lyrics
History
The band was born in 2006.He grew up singing tone. After eights years later they have had release their first album Chirkutnama.
Chirkutt's fame has transcended the borders of Bangladesh and reached foreign shores, thanks to their performances at various reputed international music festivals, such as the India Music Week (where 50 bands/Artists of 17 countries participated) and the Jaffna Music Festival, Sri Lanka (Norway, Brazil, Palestine, India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, with more than twenty international artists), where they have represented new dimensions of Bangladeshi band music to critical acclaim. They were also the winners of the RTV Best Band Award 2012. Chirkutt band has also to embark on a grand tour of Norway with Norwegian rockers Casa Murilo, at 2013.
Band Group
Chirkutt are composed of Pavel Areen (Drums, Percussion, Sound producer), Emon Chowdhury ( Guitar, Banjo, Mandolin, Ukulele) Sharmin Sultana Sumi (vocals, lyrics), Pintu Ghosh (vocals, violin, flute) and Rokon Emon (bass). Guest rhythm guitarist Tamal also serves as a session musician for the band from time to time. Their tracks are recorded, mixed and mastered at Butter Records and Studio Chirkutt, their own studios

Chirkut in the Film
The band has also worked on several local film music director . Among notable films, "Jalal's Story", the film 2015 in the 88th edition of the Academy Awards, the Oscar for foreign language film category this movie is selected from Bangladesh.Chirkut also have playback in Aynabaji 2016 film.
