Chinese Cultural Fever

Chinese Cultural Fever - (Chinese, trad. 文化熱, simpl. 文化热, pinyin Wénhuàrè) was a cultural tendency in China in the late 1980s, started with economic reforms. It can be considered the first independent cultural initiative in China since 1949. After a period of isolation, China opened to Western Thought. This tendency ended in 1989 due to the sudden change of political climate.
