Chembirika

Chembirika (also known as Chembarika) is a beautiful village situated in Chemnad grama panchayath, Kasaragod district, Kerala State,South India. It is 6.5 km south of Kasaragod Municipality & 54 km south of Mangalore City.

Tourism

Chembirika is famous for its beautiful beach experience and it has been caught by famous photographers from all over the country. This beach requires a well planned beautification and development package from the side of Tourism department of Kerala.

A railway tunnel which is called Kalanad tunnel is situated at eastern part of Chembirika. This tunnel is so special in terms of its physical and technological advances. The Kalanad tunnel is the longest tunnel in Kerala which was constructed by Colonial British territory before 110 years ago.

The picturised view of Chembirika Beach and the Noombil River (also known as Chembirika River), which is considered to be the smallest river in Kerala can be described as one of the beauty of nature in which the river reaches to sea over here and it is often visited by tourists near by the localities from other Districts of Kerala, sometimes from others states of India and outside India rarely.

Melparamb is the nearest urban locality to Chembirika, at a distance of 2 km. There are some basic facilities like medical, educational, etc.

The Chandragiri fort is situated at oravangara. The fort being damaged day by day because of its old in nature and negligence by the authorities. From here we can catch a mindblowing view of nature. The fort is listed in the list of Kerala's forts.

It is the largest and oldest Tunnel in Kerala . The old tunnel was constructed on 1905 by Britisher's. The Kalanad tunnel's entrance view is got an amazing location in Photographer's mind.

It is a small beach and one of the most beautiful beach in Kerala. The main attraction of this beach is the rock crew (Kadukkakkall) which acts as a remarkable place in Chembirika.

It is the most attractive area of Chembirika Beach . Through this the art of nature can be clearly seen. The view of Arabian sea above from this rock crew is awesome. The history says that the rocks are fallen from hanuman when he was going to lanka. Anyhow there is another rock crew near to the Kallanvalappu beach also. 

it is a famous landmark in which the two sides of this river are two famous resorts, Lalit Resorts and Holiday Resorts. The river is met with the sea right here. The bird's eye view of this area got a chance in the Kerala's tourist spot pictures.
