After the Australian 2009 season Minson moved to Germany and joined SC Forst of the Bavarian Landesliga for whom he played for the whole 2009-10 season.[2] Minson returned to Australia after the end of the 2009-10 season and rejoined the North Stars for the 2010 AIHL season. He played for the North Stars for majority of the season before moving back to his home state of Western Australia and joining the West Coast Avalanche of the Western Australian Super League and Senior A for the last few games of the season.[2][3] Starting the 2011 season Minson moved across to another team in the Super League, the Northern Vikings.[3] After the end of the season with the Vikings Minson moved to Germany and signed with Krefelder EV 1981 II of the Oberliga. Australia narrowly avoided relegation, finishing just ahead of Belgium and Minson scored his first international goal, finishing with two goals and an assist for the tournament.[2][5] In 2008 he moved up the national senior team to compete in the 2008 IIHF World Championship Division II Group B tournament being held in Newcastle, Australia. Australia won the tournament and earned promotion to Division I for the following year.[6] Minson rejoined the Australian team to compete in the 2009 IIHF World Championship Division I Group A tournament.
