Casella is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Genoa in the Italian region Liguria, located about 14 kilometres (9 mi) northeast of Genoa. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 3,131 and an area of 7.8 square kilometres (3.0 sq mi).[1]
The municipality of Casella contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Avosso, Carpeneta, Cortino, Parata, Regiosi, Salvega, and Stabbio.
Casella borders the following municipalities: Montoggio, Savignone, Serra Riccò, Valbrevenna.
