Carpineti is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Reggio Emilia in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about 70 kilometres (43 mi) west of Bologna and about 30 kilometres (19 mi) southwest of Reggio Emilia. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 4,257 and an area of 89.6 square kilometres (34.6 sq mi).[1]
