Cédric Leandre Tchoumbé Fankam commonly known as Cédric Tchoumbé (born 29 March 1987) is a French footballer of Cameroonian origin who plays for Sur SC in Oman Professional League.[1]

Personal life

Cédric received his French passport in 1999 and hence shares a dual-citizenship between Cameroon and France.

Club career

Youth career

Born in Douala, Cameroon, Cédric, when he was 10 years old, moved along with his family to Paris, France. He began his footballing career in 2001 with Paris-based club, Racing Club de France football Colombes 92 and made appearances for the U-15 and U-18 squads of the club.

He made his first move out of France in 2004 to Italy where he played for Forte dei Marmi-based, U.S.D. Forte dei Marmi. In 2005, he again moved out of France and this time to Spain where he was an academy player for La Masia, the FC Barcelona youth academy.

Oberneuland

He began his professional footballing career in 2006 in Germany with Bremen-based, FC Oberneuland. He scored 4 goals in 12 appearances in the 2006–07 NOFV-Oberliga, thus helping his side secure the 3rd position in the 2006–07 season of NOFV-Oberliga.[2]

R. White Star Bruxelles

He then moved to Belgium where he signed a one-year contract with Belgian Third Division club, R. White Star Bruxelles. He scored 3 goals in 12 appearances in the 2007-08 season of the Belgian Third Division.

A.S. Giana Erminio

He once again moved to Italy and this time to Lombardy where he signed a two-year contract with A.S. Giana Erminio. In his two-year spell with the club, he made appearances for the reserve squad of the club.

Louhans-Cuiseaux

In 2010, he moved back to France where he signed a one-year contract with Championnat de France Amateur club, CS Louhans-Cuiseaux. He made his Championnat de France Amateur debut and scored his first goal on 18 September 2010 in a 5-1 loss against Jura Sud Foot.[3] He scored 2 goals in 18 appearances in the 2010–11 Championnat de France amateur.

Schötz

In June 2011, he moved to Switzerland and more accurately to Schötz where he signed a short-term contract with 1. Liga Promotion club, FC Schötz. He scored 3 goals in 12 appearances in the 2011 season of the 1. Liga Promotion.

Espinho

In late 2011, he made a move to Portugal where he signed a long-term contract with Campeonato de Portugal Prio club, S.C. Espinho. He made his Campeonato de Portugal Prio debut on 8 September 2013 in a 1-1 draw against SC Bustelo[4] and scored his first goal on 6 October 2013 in a 3-2 loss against Anadia FC.[5] He scored 5 goals in 13 appearances in the 2013–14 Campeonato de Portugal Prio.

Feirense

In January 2014, he moved to another Portuguese city and this time to Santa Maria da Feira where he signed a short-term contract with C.D. Feirense. He made his Segunda Liga debut on 16 February 2014 in a 3-0 loss against Académico de Viseu FC[6] and scored his first goal and only goal for the club on 4 May 2014 in a 2-2 draw against S.C. Beira-Mar.[7] He scored 1 goal in 4 appearances in the 2013–14 Segunda Liga.

Sur

In September 2015, he made a far away move from Europe to the Middle East and more accurately to Oman where on 26 September 2015, he signed a one-year contract with Oman Professional League club, Sur SC.[8][9] He made his Oman Professional League debut on 23 October 2015 in a 1-0 loss against Al-Musannah SC[10] and scored his first goal on 11 December 2015 in a 1-1 draw against Al-Khaboura SC.[11]
