Bowed banjo
Bowed banjo is the musical technique of playing a banjo with a violin bow. Although the banjo can be held under the chin like a violin this is only done with folk banjos as the additional weight of a metal banjo makes this impractical. The banjo is also held upright with the base resting on the knee or worn like a hat on the head.
