Blanket Barricade is a Canadian indie rock band (music) founded by Wesley Krauss (vocals / songwriting). The name of the band originates from Wesley's childhood when he would make forts out of blankets in his living room.[1]

The band's music has been described as multi-layered,[2] intricate,[1] and theatrical.[3] The band has gained popularity primarily through their music videos on YouTube which have reached over one million views.[4][5]

History

Debut Album

The band's 9 track debut album "Parade Bells" was released on March 20, 2012.[6]

Awards and achievements

The music video for the song "Stray Shadows" won best music video of the year at the Fetisch Film Festival in Germany.[7]

Radio

Blanket Barricade charted on numerous Canadian college radio stations.[8][9]
