Bing Steel
Bing Steel LLC, was a Detroit, Michigan, United States supplier of carbon steel flat rolled products to the automotive industry.[1]
Background
Bing Steel was founded by retired NBA Player Dave Bing in the Detroit area. At the 1990 NBA All-Star Game, he received the Schick Achievement Award for his work after his NBA career. Bing Steel Processing facility is capable of processing 250,000 tons or more of flat-rolled steel per year.[2] The Bing assembly process feature's a robotic, multi and single point welder, part-to-part weld assembler, heat bonding, riveting and part washing.[2] Company assets were sold off in 2009.[3]
