Beijing Love Story (北京爱情故事- Bei Jing Ai Qing Gu Shi) is a 2012 Chinese television series co-scripted and directed by Chen Sicheng, starring himself, Yang Mi, Li Chen, Tong Liya, Zhang Xinyi, Zhang Yi and Monica Mok. This is Chen Sicheng's directorial debut.

The series was one of the most watched during its broadcast. More than 1 billion views were recorded on Chinese video streaming sites by February 9, 2012, just 32 days after the first episode aired.[1] Following the success, Chen later directed a 2014 film of the same name, which was a huge box office success. (Also befitting for a love story, he fell in love with co-star Tong Liya on the set and married her in 2014.)

Synopsis

Cheng Feng (Chen Sicheng), Wu Di (Li Chen) and Shi Xiaomeng (Zhang Yi) met as university students in Beijing, and formed a small band together and became very good friends. Each come from different places, Cheng Feng is a rich playboy, the son of a successful business man, but has a complicated relationship with his father. Wu Di is an honest, dependable and hardworking, and Shi Xiao Meng comes from a poor background in countryside Yunan, and his dream is to become successful in Beijing.

The story follows these three brothers as they enter society, exploring relationships and their careers. Lin Xia (Zhang Xin Yi) is a girl who loves Cheng Feng, but to him is only a normal friend. Yang Zixi (Yang Mi) is the long-time girlfriend of Wu Di, but they have recently broken up. Shen Bing (Tong Liya) is the long-time girlfriend of Shi Xiaomeng, who comes from Yunan to Beijing to live with him.

These friends all experience love and loss together.

The story is talking about young people bear after eighty's in Beijing,three guys are classmates in college, Cheng Feng, Wu Di and Shi Xiaomeng have different family backgrounds and characters, but common aspiration and interest brought them together. After graduation, problems of love and career appeared one by one. Facing all those contradictions,[8] what should they do and how should they make a choice is a tough question， the story also reflects the realism in our life and society, by this TV drama we should know what is the power, which brings a huge help in successful road. Born in rich family is the biggest wealth than others，the rest of people have need to achieve their dream by persistence rather than shortcut. It is a very popular television that attract young generation people to see it, the trick in the end is no ending here, the only thing is the clock in the wall and towards 12.
