Barbara Gibbs Golffing

Barbara Gibbs Golffing (September 23, 1912 August 13, 1993) was an American poet and translator.

Life

Gibbs was born in Los Angeles, California, and attended Stanford University and U.C.L.A. She was married to the poet J. V. Cunningham from 1937 to 1945, and, later, to Francis Golffing. She was a 1955 Guggenheim Fellow.[1]

Her work appeared in Poetry,[2] The New Yorker,[3] The Nation,[4] and the Hudson Review.[5]
