Bambinos Baby Food is an American baby food company.
History
The idea for the company originated from Zoi Maroudas-Tziolas, while she was working with elderly patients during medical school.[1] Bambinos Baby Food was founded in 2013 by Maroudas-Tziolas,[2] who would hand-make the food at her family’s restaurant Pizza Olympia located in Anchorage, Alaska.[3] It was initially sold online and through Alaskan grocers.[4] Maroudas-Tziolas remains the company’s president.[5]
Foods
The food is created for infants during their first year of life as well as toddlers.[6] Foods are sold in frozen form in bags of 5 servings. It is either delivered a la carte or in subscriptions for periods between three months and a year.[7][8] The food lines of Bambinos include yams, halibut, carrots, salmon, peas, and noodles.[7][9] In 2016 Bambinos was awarded the grand prize at the Symphony of Seafood competition.[10] It was also named the best Organic Baby Food prize from the American Choice Awards.[6]
