Badhagachhi is a census town in Balagarh CD Block in Hooghly district in the Indian state of West Bengal. It is under Balagarh police station in Chinsurah subdivision.[1]

Demographics
As per 2011 Census of India Badhagachhi had a total population of 5,052 of which 2,995 (51%) were males and 2,457 (49%) were females. Population below 6 years was 435. The total number of literates in Badhagachhi was 3,994 (86.51 % of the population over 6 years).[2]
As of 2001 India census,[3] Badhagachhi had a population of 4718. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Badhagachhi has an average literacy rate of 70%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with 54% of the males and 46% of females literate. 11% of the population is under 6 years of age.
