Avatha uloptera is a species of moth of the Erebidae family. It is found in Peninsular Malaysia, Thailand and on Sumatra and Borneo. The habitat consists of montane areas.

The forewings have a rich brown band medially and a white patch in the black hieroglyph just distal to this brown band.[2]
