Andy Tudor is a video game designer. He is the Creative Director for the video game developer Slightly Mad Studios in London, England.

He is most known for rebooting the Need for Speed franchise with the release of Need for Speed: Shift (2009), Shift 2: Unleashed (2011), and The Walking Dead: Assault (2013). The Internet Movie Database also credits him as a Voice Director and Motion Capture Technical Director on previous titles for SCE Cambridge Studio (24: The Game[1] and Primal[2]).

In August 2010, Tudor co-wrote an article with the Lead Designer of Rock Band, Rob Kay, for Gamasutra entitled "An Artist's Eye: Applying Art Techniques to Game Design"[3] that talked about re-applying techniques from both their art backgrounds in their modern roles as designers. Tudor was one of the first developers involved in Gamesblog Live for the Guardian[4] along with Mike Laidlaw from Bioware and Nathan Camarillo from Crytek. Tudor is working on undisclosed projects.

Personal

Tudor is a single child and was born in Douglas, Isle of Man. Prior to working in video games, Tudor worked in advertising and created branding for UK household brands Patak's, Cussons, and Worthingtons at BDH (now TBWA Worldwide).

On his personal website, Tudor cites Final Fantasy VIII, Bubble Bobble and Resident Evil amongst his favorite games of all time. He lists Contact, American Psycho and Bad Boys as his favorite films on his Facebook page. He is also a fan of drum & bass music and is a regular club-goer who goes under the pseudonym "Blueprint" when DJ-ing. He lives in North London with his wife and two sons.

Tudor often shares articles of interest and comments on the gaming world and modern culture via his Twitter feed. He is also an avid gamer and can also be regularly found playing on Xbox Live under the gamertag "AndyTudor" and is also a massive Star Trek fan having been the graphics artist on the Tricorder TR-580 iPhone app[5] and a regular player in Star Trek Online under the name "Ezri Solo".

Tudor owns a 384 hp Boss 302 Shelby V8 Mustang GT that he cites as his 'other baby' and regularly attends track days, having previously driven at Mantorp Park, Brands Hatch, and the Nordschleife.
