Andini Aisyah Hariadi, known by her stage name Andien (born August 25, 1985), is an Indonesian jazz singer. Her debut album, Bisikan Hati, was released by Warner Music Indonesia with the single, "Bisikan Hati".

Early life

Andien studied singing beginning at age three. While in third grade, Andien began attending festivals in her neighborhood: Cilandak, South Jakarta. In sixth grade, Andien entered EMS (Elfa Music Studio), under Elfa Secioria.

She has had an interest in the genre of jazz since childhood. She won numerous singing competitions beginning at age 14 in Indonesia and Shanghai; she released her first album at the age of 15, with Bisikan Hati, produced by Elfa Secioria.

After the sudden popularity of Indonesian music at the time, she returned to work together with Indra Lesmana and Aksan Sjuman on the album Kinanti in 2002. Andien cooperated with Tohpati for the album Gemintang in 2005. She released four albums and was awarded 5 Anugerah Musik Indonesia awards (AMI), 4 Indonesia Video Awards and 1 Anugerah Planet Muzik in Singapore. She collaborated with various musicians, including Jeff Lorber at the Java Jazz Festival (JJF) in 2005, with the Japanese ensemble vocal, Jammin Zeb (JJF 2008), with Bob James (ASEAN Jazz Festival 2008 Batam Indonesia), Frank Griffith (JJF 2010), with Indonesian jazz pianist Bubi Chen (JJF 2010) and pioneer of Indonesian progressive rock, Discus (JJF 2006).

In 2010, Andien launched Kirana. Taken from one of the songs on the album, "Kirana", in Sanskrit means light or rays.

On Kirana Andien worked with friends Nikita Dompas and Rifka Rachman. This was the first time Andien was directly involved in the production from the thought process, songwriting and mixing. Kirana talked about love in different circumstances and was inspired by the people closest to Andien. Of the album's ten tracks, three are covers, "Bimbi" (The Rollies), "Doubt" (Edwin Saladin), and "Gemilang" (Krakatoa). The others are "Pulang", "Salahku", "Kusadari", "Kirana", "Moving On", "Cerita Kita" and "Cinta". Her first album, in February 2000, entitled Bisikan Hati, the album expected to sell about 30,000 copies.

Along with Rieka Ruslan, Nina Tamam, Iga Mawarni, and Yuni Shara she formed a vocal group named 5 Wanita.

Personal life

Andien is an eldest child of three siblings of parents Didiek Hariadi and Henny Sri Hardini. She married Irfan Wahyudi on April 27, 2015.[1]
