Algeria competed at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy. The nation had participated in the Winter Games only once previously, in 1992.

Alpine skiing

The 20-year-old Douibi ended both of her events in last place, but did manage to complete both the downhill and super-G. She dedicated her performance to her late father, Mohammed.[3][4]
