Al Amal (meaning the Hope in English) was an Arabic daily newspaper published in Tunisia. It existed between 1932 and 1988.

History and profile

Al Amal was established in 1934.[1][2] The daily was the organ of the now-defunct Neo Destour Party.[3][4]

The daily had a sister publication, L'Action, a French daily.[5][6] Both papers were headquartered in Tunis.[1]

Al Amal was ceased publication in 1988[7] and was succeeded by Al Hurriyya, another Arabic daily.[2]
