Aki Seiuli (born 22 December 1992) is a New Zealand rugby union player who currently plays as a prop for Otago in the ITM Cup.[1][2][3]
Career
Born in Christchurch but moving to Timaru in 2002, Seiuli initially made a name for himself captaining Timaru Boys' High School First XV before going on to play for South Canterbury in the Heartland Championship while he was a college student. He progressed to ITM Cup level with the Otago Razorbacks in 2012, making his debut in a match against local rivals Southland.[1]
Seiuli was not named in any of the five New Zealand Super Rugby franchise's squads ahead of the 2014 Super Rugby season, however an injury crisis in the Highlanders front row saw him called into their squad to provide short-term cover.[4][5] He made the bench for the Highlanders clash with the Hurricanes on 16 May 2014, but remained an unused replacement.[6]
