Adhitia Sofyan,(born November 6, 1977) is an Indonesian singer-songwriter and creative director. Sofyan to be known as bedroom musician where all of his album and single had recorded in independent in his bedroom. Sofyan is an founder and creative director to an online marketing communication consultant Virus Communications. Sofyan had written to all-English songs in his entire four studio albums.[1]

Career

1999–2008: I'm Not Getting Any Slimmer, So Here We Go... and Live From His Bedroom

Adhitia Sofyan was born on November 6, 1977, on Bandung, West Java. Sofyan began his career for acoustic singer and in 1999, he had making a project solo. According of his friends, his songs had charted in indie chart song in Ardan FM Bandung. In addition, Sofyan working in the commercial industry Matari Advertising where had to be an graphic design, although didn't continue his music career.

After well established as creative director in Virus Communications, Sofyan return to his career music and began recording several songs in acoustic format. In 2008, his EP' album I'm Not Getting Any Slimmer, So Here We Go... was released by himself label. Produced by himself, its album had received positive response by music critics and fans. Actually, its album only wont to 20 copies.

Still same of year, Sofyan return to released his EP' second album Live From His Bedroom. Sofyan had tried to sending his first EP' to a chart radio NuBuzz, which had belonged to Prambors radio. His two hits single "Adelaide Sky" (which to be themed-song in film Kambing Jantan: The Movie) and "Memilihmu" had reached successfully to topping the chart radio and also received positive viewers by listeners.

2009–2010: Quiet Down and Forget Your Plans

After his successful with hits single, a label Zapato Records signed to Sofyan and began released his debut studio album, titled Quiet Down with Freemium concept. Produced and distrbuted by himself, its album had received positive response by music critics. In addition in Indonesia, his album also released in two indie label in Japan Disques Desinee (in 2010) and Production Desinee (in 2011) and received great response in Japan. Due to his album, Sofyan winning his two awards for Favorite Solo Artist and Favorite Singer-Songwriter at 2010 Indonesian Cutting Edge Music Awards.

A year later, Sofyan had return to releasing second studio album, Forget Your Plans after moving signed to a recording contract Demajors, Its album was released same concept and had selling in Freemium. In 2010, Sofyan appointed to performing in Harmoni concert in SCTV and his perform had to be discussion in Twitter. After that, Sofyan began return to working his third album How to Stop Times and officially released in 2012. Its album producing first single "Tokyo Lights Fade Away".

2011–2016: Japan tour and Silver Painted Radiance

In September, Sofyan embarked a tour in several Japan cities and one of his concert at the Saravah Music Lounge, Tokyo had recorded in live album and distributed for free.

After five years later, his fourth studio album Silver Painted Radiance was released on February 14[2] and producing first single "Find Who You Are" which had winning the category for Best Folk Production Work at the Anugerah Musik Indonesia. Sofyan announced his upcoming for second tour Silver Painted Radiance Tour in nine cities in Japan with support from Tokyo-based record store Desiree.[3]
