A Ghost Story is an upcoming American film written and directed by David Lowery. It stars Casey Affleck, Rooney Mara, Will Oldham, Sonia Acevedo, Rob Zabrecky, and Liz Franke. The film will have its world premiere at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival.[1]

Production
In July 2016, Lowery stated in an interview he would be heading to Dallas, Texas to work on another project.[2] In November 2016, it was revealed the project had been shot secretly over the summer with Rooney Mara and Casey Affleck starring in the film.[3][4] with Toby Halbrooks and James M. Johnston will serve as producers under their Sailor Bear banner.[5]
Filming
Principal photography took place in July and August in Dallas, Texas, before concluding in September 2016.[6]
