The 2017 UCI World Tour is an upcoming competition that is scheduled to include thirty-eight road cycling events throughout the 2017 men's cycling season.[1] It will be the ninth edition of the ranking system launched by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) in 2009. The competition will start with the opening stage of the Tour Down Under on 17 January and conclude with the Il Lombardia on 30 September.[2] Slovakia's Peter Sagan is the defending champion.[3] The 2017 edition will feature eleven new events.[2]

All events from the 2016 UCI World Tour were included, although some events were scheduled on different dates than previous editions. Eleven new events were also added to the calendar.[2][5]
