The 2017 Major League Baseball (MLB) First-Year Player Draft will begin on June 12, 2017.[1] The draft will assign amateur baseball players to MLB teams. The draft order will be set based on the reverse order of the 2016 MLB season standings. In addition, compensation picks will be distributed for players who did not sign from the 2016 MLB Draft.
