The 2017 Major League Soccer season will be the 22nd season of Major League Soccer, top division of soccer in the United States and Canada. The regular season is expected to begin in March 2017 and conclude in October 2017. The MLS Cup Playoffs are expected to begin in late October 2017 and conclude with MLS Cup 2017 in December 2017.
Two new clubs will be joining the league as expansion franchises: Atlanta United and Minnesota United. The two franchises will be the 21st and 22nd teams in the league.[1]

- ^ Due to construction delays to Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta United FC will play its home matches at Georgia Tech's Bobby Dodd Stadium during the first half of the season. While the stadium seats 55,000, MLS capacity has not been determined.[2]
