The 1989 NCAA Division I Tennis Championships were the 43rd annual NCAA Division I Men's Tennis Championship and the 8th annual NCAA Division I Women's Tennis Championship to determine the national champions of NCAA Division I men's and women's collegiate tennis. Each championship featured a singles, doubles, and team championship.

The men's tournaments were played in Athens, Georgia, hosted by the University of Georgia, while the women's tournaments were held in Gainesville, Florida, hosted by the University of Florida.[1][2] The men's and women's tournaments would not be held at the same site until 2006.

For the second consecutive year, Stanford claimed both the men's and women's team titles (their tenth and sixth national championships, respectively).
